Ed was about to retire. After working for him for fifteen years I wanted to present him with a gift that expressed the depth of my feelings for him. A dear friend, a mentor, a father-figure and my boss and I was going to miss him. I could talk with him, he would listen and offer his guidance.
Bringing a black and white photograph of Ed to my night school class I explained to my instructor Michele Binette, that I wanted to do this pencil portrait as a retirement gift for my boss.
At Ed’s retirement party I remember presenting the portrait to him and the delighted look on his face. A true gentle man and gentleman
