Looking across at the iconic ferris wheel “The Star of the Show”.
This painting was done as a ‘thank you’ for a man, John Worgan, who kindly spent the day tootling Ruth and I around Sydney near the end of on our three-week trip to Australia – a personal tour showing us around the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour as well as the convict history in the Rocks, home to artisan markets, friendly pubs and where European settlement began.. So to remember his kindness how appropriate to paint something of his hometown.
