Roop's Boys of Summer - Labatt Park London SOLD

Our paint-out location was Labatt’s Park so I sat up in the stands where Don and I always sit and painted the view from there. For the baseball players I used my photos of players taken while attending games. The baseball player at bat is Cleveland Brownlee. Cleveland was named to the Inter Country Baseball League’s top 100 players of all time. This painting was presented to him from the fans .

Labatt Memorial park is located near the forks of the Thames River in downtown London and the world’s oldest baseball park.

Along with many other awards, Cleveland was also keynote speaker at the Lewis Coray's Trailblazer Awards evening at the London police headquarters.
