French Linen Dorothy d.hunter Adams

In one of the markets in France I spotted a lovely store tucked in just off the main square. This fashion ensemble caught my eye - so much so, I decided to inquire as to the price. The linen vest, capris pants and stunning voile tunic underneath were exquisite and I was thinking to buy the whole outfit. When I approached the sales lady she was aloof and seemed quite perturbed that I would even ask about it, so I left, unfortunately.

As soon as I returned home from our trip I started the sketch staying with the monochromatic theme of the storefront.

The simplicity of the one headless mannequin highlights the elegant lines and stitch work of the ensemble in comparison to the plain-faced mannequin.
