Tyler, my second grandson was a delightful two-year old toddler in this painting, and already a performer. My daughter Heather brought him out to visit his Nana when I lived along the Thames River near Paincourt.
While we were chatting and playing some old records in my art room off the kitchen, Tyler, loving the spotlight, got up and danced around the room performing for us. He was such a little sprite, full of mischief and loved being in the limelight. I grabbed my camera snapping this image of him dancing. His jaunty hat is my old art hat I would use when painting en plein air.
My drafting board is on the left with a small walnut bookcase full of art books under the edge of the drafting board. The painting on the drafting board I was working on is of The Stone Tea House situated outside of Thamesville – a favourite of mine.
