Carolyn is a commission from Don’s long‑time friend, John Henry for his wife, Alyson.

John gave me a photograph of her and the portrait was done in coloured pencil. I had never before tried a portrait in coloured pencil, so this was a first. John and Alyson were please as was Alyson’s Father, Rolly.
