When working at Union Gas I would take a week of my vacation to take a art workshop somewhere in Ontario. The first teacher to head up the Southampton Art School after the school’s long hiatus was an enthusiastic Marlene Jofriet, a former architect from Guelph. Our painting week session was called “Paint The Town”. Setting aside one week of my summer vacation to attend at art course was something I look forward to every year. Southampton Ontario is a beautiful town along Lake Huron. Southampton Harbour is the title of this painting.
